Wavre is a city in Belgium located in Wallonia, more precisely in the Province of Walloon Brabant. The city of Wavre has 34,200 inhabitants and has merged with the municipalities of Limal and Bierges. Located in the Dyle Valley, the inhabitants are called the Wavriens, but also the Macas. To be called Maca, one must be born in Wavre of parents who were themselves born in Wavre.
