Dinant is a French-speaking Walloon town located in the Province of Namur. The town of Dinant has 13,500 inhabitants. Located on the Meuse valley, the city of Dinant has many monuments, including the Abbey of Notre-Dame de Leffe, where the beer of the same name is produced, the cave " La Merveilleuse "... The city of Dinant organizes river cruises on what are called "bateaux-mouches", a kind of flat-bottomed boat. The citadel of Dinant is also worth a visit. Built on a rock 100 metres above the Meuse, the citadel was built by the Dutch. It now houses a museum. The saxophone was invented in Dinant by Adolphe Sax. Dinant also highlights its material heritage by promoting what is known as "dinanderie": objects made of copper and brass. Another curiosity to see in Dinant is the Bayard Rock, which cars pass by on the road that winds along the Meuse. This rocky spire seems to stand out from the cliffs to the south of the town. All that remains is to taste the Dinant couque, a hard honey-based biscuit baked in a sculpted mould that gives it special decorative shapes depending on the occasion and the event.
